HISTORY OF PHILLY ALUM
SAI alumnae in the Philadelphia area began getting together in 1936. Regular meetings and recitals were held, but only when the beloved and energetic Edna Geimer moved to Philadelphia was an alumnae chapter formed. The
installation service was held May 23, 1950, with National President Kathleen Davison and National Treasurer Edna Geimer as installing officers. Eloise McKnight was the first president and there were 28 charter members. In its long history, the Philadelphia Alumnae Chapter has proven time and again its commitment to service through music.
